The Problem

Over 44 million businesses in Sub-Saharan Africa lack access to necessary credit

African SMEs Need Better Solutions

Many of these businesses have limited access to technology and have to depend on archaic accounting and documentation methods like pen and paper.

These barriers make it hard for businesses to gauge their financial health therefore limits their ability to apply for financial benefits such as loans.

The Goal

How might we provide a digital solution for Ghanaian businesses allowing them to manage their financial health and take control of their accounting operations?

The Solution

Akoma is an easy-to-use accounting platform built for the unique needs of African SMEs empowering them to take control of their business and focus on their dreams.

An Ongoing Journey

The work I've done with Akoma is only just the start.

As we continue to connect with local Ghanaian businesses and prepare for our launch, we will be able to adjust and adopt our product to best fit user needs. While we have done great work so far, I look forward to all this Akoma team will continue to accomplish in the future as we work towards creating a financially stronger Ghana.
